AN EVENING FOR A LEGACY.

On Monday, June 29, 2026 the Lisa Lopes Foundation will host an invite-only birthday gala honoring the life, legacy, creativity, writing, individuality and cultural impact of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes.

This evening is more than a celebration, it's also the launch of the Lisa Lopes Foundation literacy program, Legacy Lab: Write the future. A youth writing and publishing pathway for Metro Atlanta middle and high school students.

WRITE THE FUTURE.

Rooted in Lisa's love for writing and creative expression, the program will help students use literacy as a tool for voice, healing, leadership, opportunities and self-determination.

Through writing, publishing and storytelling, students will learn to turn their ideas, lived experiences, and creative genius into original work connected to the life they want to build beyond graduation and into a career.
